The Swami and the Rabbi
Two great spiritual teachers join together in a dialogue about the universal truths shared by Judaism and Yoga. Sri Swami Satchidananda and Rabbi Joseph Gelberman enjoyed a beautiful spiritual friendship during which they worked together in promoting interfaith ideals such as respect, understanding, and cooperation among all religions and faiths. They conducted "The Swami and the Rabbi" dialogue yearly for more than 13 years. They both felt that "In a past life the Swami was the Rabbi and the Rabbi was the Swami" - that is how close their friendship was. They began the Center for Spiritual Studies, one of the earliest interfaith organizations in the United States in 1968 and continued their cooperation for more than 35 years as they sponsored interfaith programs, retreats, and services together. In this exceptional DVD, these two great spiritual teachers join together in dialogue and illuminate the universal truths shared by Judaism and Yoga.
