Yoga and the Emotions DVD
In this Satsang, Swami Satchidananda discusses how to approach challenging emotions and situations utilizing the practices, tools, and philosophy of Yoga. In response to one question about dealing with feelings of failure he advises, “Never get disheartened by your failure. It’s the failure that makes us perfect. Instead of brooding over the past, take the lesson. Analyze it. You are learning.”
Some of the other emotions specifically addressed are fear, hopelessness, guilt, self-doubt, depression, and worry. He gives an in-depth analysis of the emotion of fear and how deepening one’s faith can address many different types of fears. He gives specific advice for dealing with adversities, the negativity of others, and other challenging situations.
This DVD captures the spontaneity and energy of a public talk providing a beautiful opportunity to sit with Sri Gurudev and be guided by his vast wisdom.
