Self-Transformation
Swami Satchidananda (Sri Gurudev) answers the question of how to live a peaceful, spiritual life in the midst of a chaotic world, with one word: self-transformation. He says, "Correct yourself first. Whatever you want to see outside in the world, find it within yourself first. That's why we practice Yoga. Yoga is not to transform others first. Transform yourself. Why am I upset, why am I angry, why do I see things the way I do? My vision is incorrect. So correct your vision and you will see a fantastic world." Sri Gurudev particularly addresses the issue of how to deal with anger within oneself and how to utilize this emotion in healthier ways. Sri Gurudev also answers questions and offers his guidance on a variety of subjects including modern applications of Yoga in various settings.Topics include: How to Lead a Peaceful, Spiritual Life How to Deal with Anger Classic Teaching Story of the "Hermit Who Lied" The Aim of Yoga Suffering and Evil Sannyas (monastic) and Householder Life ⓟⓒ2007 Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville, Inc.
